Harrison Arkansas – Ozark Escape April 26-29, 2018
There has been a need to change our destination for the upcoming Ozark Escape ride. There was an issue with the Edelweiss Inn. Unfortunately the rooms had not been reserved as discussed with ownership, so we will need to make adjustments. Eureka Springs is playing host to the MidAmerica 02 Fest. That same weekend. ALL hotels are booked in Eureka Springs. This is the 18th gathering of BMW autos celebrating the 50th anniversary of the BMW 2002. So it is a packed house. The good news is we will be avoiding the crowd. The bad news is we need to call an audible. So what do we do? We adjust, we move on and most of all we HAVE FUN! Let’s try this again.

This location has been reserved and is ready to take our reservations. This location is centrally located and lends itself to getting to the good roads “quicker” than riding from the Eureka Springs area. April 26 – Thursday This is a day to get to the event. Rick Butler will be leading a ride from the North Texas / DFW area. Stay tuned for more details about starting location and routes. April 27 – Friday Breakfast at the Ozark Cafe in Jasper to start the day. We will then take on Mt Judea, 123 then stop for a quick break at Sand Gap. We will get back on the road and wind our way over to 16 to Witt Springs before finishing our morning in the quaint town of Mountain View. We will have lunch at PJ’s Rainbow Cafe. After getting our fill we get to tackle one of the best roads in Arkansas. That is right folks… we will do Push Mountain, AR14 before heading back to Harrison. Dinner will not be a planned event. April 28 – Saturday You will have the choice to ride the area or make your way to beautiful Eureka Springs to spend your Saturday If you want to ride the route can be downloaded here. We will start off the day with breakfast in Harrison at theNeighborhood Diner. Then over to Peel’s Ferry before having lunch at Bush’s Pizza in Bull Shoals. Push Mountain will again be on the agenda before making our way back to Harrison around 4pm. This will give everyone plenty of time to get cleaned up and ready for dinner. Tentative plans are for dinner to be at 6:30PM. Stay tuned for more details. We will be eating at Colton’s Steakhouse right by the hotel.
April 29 – Sunday The ride home. All good things come to an end!
