13 Days, 2 Rallies, Countless Curves: Follow Along on My Wisconsin Motorcycle Adventure

There is something special about loading up a motorcycle, pointing it toward a distant horizon, and seeing what happens between Point A and Point B.
In just a few days, I'll be doing exactly that as I head out on a 13-day motorcycle adventure through the Midwest. This trip will take me to two fantastic motorcycle rallies, some legendary Wisconsin roads, and a few places I've been wanting to explore for quite some time.
And yes, before anyone asks, Jerry & Jamie 2UP will be hitting the road... minus Jamie. I know, I know. The name doesn't quite fit this trip, but don't worry, Jamie approved the solo mission.
Stop #1: MSTA TWiStar Rally - Spring Green, Wisconsin

The first destination is the annual TWiStar Rally hosted by the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association. If you've never attended an MSTA rally, you're missing out on some of the best riding roads, great conversations, and a group of riders who understand why we willingly ride hundreds of miles just to ride hundreds more.
Spring Green sits in one of Wisconsin's most scenic riding regions, with rolling hills, winding backroads, and enough curves to keep sport-touring riders smiling all day long. I'll be spending several days riding the local routes, catching up with friends, and enjoying everything the rally has to offer.
You can check out the website here: https://ridemsta.com/wi-twist/
Stop #2: Wisconsin Dells Exploration

After TWiStar wraps up, I'm not heading home.
Instead, I'll point the NT1100 toward Wisconsin Dells for a couple of days of exploration. Most people know the Dells for waterparks and family vacations, but riders know there are some fantastic roads surrounding the area.
I'll be searching for scenic overlooks, unique attractions, hidden backroads, local restaurants, and maybe a few spots that deserve future Moto Adrenaline Tours consideration.
Research, after all, is a tough job... somebody has to do it.
Stop #3: BMW RA Rally - Chippewa Falls

From the Dells, I'll continue north to the BMW Riders Association National Rally in Chippewa Falls.
This will be my Second BMW RA Rally, and I'm looking forward to seeing what all the excitement is about. These events are always a great opportunity to meet riders from across the country, check out new motorcycles and gear, attend seminars, and collect enough ideas to keep my wallet nervous for months.
I'm also interested in seeing how another national motorcycle organization runs its premier event. You can never stop learning, especially when you're involved in rally planning and event management. Daily Videos, Photos & Ride Reports
One of the goals for this trip is to bring everyone along for the ride.
I'll be filming throughout the journey and sharing daily videos, photos, and ride reports. You'll get a look at the roads, attractions, rally activities, food stops, and the occasional moment where my GPS and I disagree on what constitutes a "better route."
I'll also be publishing a daily blog update so you can follow the adventure from start to finish.
Expect motorcycle stories, road observations, scenic photography, rally coverage, and probably a few lessons learned along the way.
Follow Along
If you've ever wondered what it's like to spend nearly two weeks exploring Wisconsin by motorcycle, now is your chance to ride along from the comfort of your favorite chair.
Follow the daily videos, blog updates, and social media posts as I chase curves, attend rallies, meet riders, and put some more miles on the Honda NT1100.
And who knows? By the end of the trip I may return home with dozens of new route ideas, hundreds of photos, a notebook full of stories, and at least one item I absolutely didn't need but somehow convinced myself was essential at a rally vendor booth.
Until then, the countdown is on.
The motorcycle is ready.
The cameras are charged.
The routes are loaded.
Wisconsin, here I come.
Turning Miles into Stories
As many of you know, I also have the privilege of writing for the MSTA's STAReview magazine and the BMW Riders Association's On The Level magazine. Whenever I take a trip like this, I try to look at it through the eyes of both a rider and a storyteller. Between two national rallies, countless miles of Wisconsin backroads, interesting people, great roads, and whatever adventures decide to find me along the way, I'm fairly certain this trip will generate enough material for several future articles.
Whether it's a hidden gem of a road, an unforgettable conversation in a hotel parking lot, or one of those moments that only seem to happen on motorcycle trips, I'll be taking plenty of notes for future stories. So follow along... Let's Ride
