Southern Roads & Civil War Echoes - APRIL 22-25, 2026

If you’re the kind of rider who avoids the slab, who’d rather lean through a shaded two-lane than drone down an interstate… this one’s for you.

This tour weaves incredible riding with powerful history as we visit the battlefields of Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain. You won’t just pass through, you’ll ride into places that shaped the nation, then roll back out with a story to tell.

We’ll start in charming Oxford, Mississippi, carve our way through North Alabama with a stop at Dominic’s on the Square (owned by a fellow motorcycle enthusiast.), then wind our way into some of the most significant Civil War sites in the country, all connected by southern roads that remind you why you bought a motorcycle in the first place.

We’re keeping this group intentionally small. That means limited spots, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Oxford, Mississippi – Where Southern Charm Meets the Open Road

We kick this tour off in Oxford MS and if you’ve never spent time here, you’re in for a treat. Oxford isn’t just a starting point, it’s an experience. Classic brick buildings wrap around The Square, front porches stretch wide under big Southern skies, and the hospitality is as smooth as fresh pavement on a backroad curve.

There’s something about rolling your bike through town, the smell of coffee drifting from the cafés, locals waving as you rumble past. It’s relaxed, refined, and just gritty enough to remind you you’re in real Mississippi. It’s the perfect place to gather the group, and have a wonderful meal together kicking off the event.

Great Roads & A Warm Welcome at Dominic’s

From Oxford, we carve our way toward the hills of North Alabama and land in Scottsboro, a town surrounded by rolling countryside, winding roads, and views that make you want to downshift just to take it all in.

Right in the heart of town sits Dominic’s on the Square, owned and operated by a fellow motorcycle enthusiast who understands exactly why we ride. This isn’t just a stop for food and drink, it’s a stop among friends. You’ll feel it the minute you walk in.

Dominic’s blends story, atmosphere, and Southern hospitality into a space that feels both welcoming and refined. We’ll gather, swap stories, laugh about missed shifts and perfect apexes, and enjoy a well-earned break before heading toward some of the most hallowed ground in American history.

Riding Into History – Chickamauga & Lookout Mountain

From Scottsboro, the road bends north toward Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, home to the Chickamauga Battlefield and the dramatic heights of Lookout Mountain Battlefield.

Lookout mountain

The Battle of Chickamauga (September 1863) was one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War’s Western Theater. Nearly 35,000 soldiers were killed, wounded, or missing over three intense days of fighting. As we ride through the park, you’ll see preserved fields, monuments marking brigade positions, and quiet stretches of road where history unfolded in thunder and smoke.

Then we climb toward Lookout Mountain — the site of the famed “Battle Above the Clouds.” Fog and elevation created an almost surreal battlefield as Union forces pushed Confederate troops from the heights overlooking Chattanooga. Today, it offers sweeping views that stretch for miles — peaceful now, but once echoing with artillery.

There’s something powerful about riding through these places. The hum of the engine contrasts with the stillness of history. It reminds you that freedom, like the open road, has always come at a cost.

The Ride Home

After soaking in the history and the views, we’ll point our bikes back toward Oxford. The miles back will feel different, reflective, connected, shared. That’s the beauty of tours like this. It’s not just about the roads. It’s about community, story, and standing together in places that shaped the nation.

Southern charm. Rolling Alabama hills. Good food with good people. And battlefields that still speak if you slow down and listen.

This one isn’t just a ride. It’s an experience. What’s Included (And What’s Not)
