The New Mexico BDR is a great way to explore the wild west. New Mexico is called the "Land Of Enchantment" for a reason.  The history and diverse community makes this a great place to visit.

The camping season starts on May 15th. This will be a motel only trip. We will stop each evening to enjoy the New Mexico Landscape while sharing stories from the days adventure. There are multiple stages of this route that will take us to places like the Guadalupe Rim, Gila National Forest and Chloride Canyon.

What is Adventure Lite? The idea behind this concept is the ability to go explore the back roads of America, with a lower chance of damaging your vehicle. There is always a chance that your rig will break down or get damaged, but we really look to avoid that if possible. This means that we will get to explore areas in the great outdoors, while staying away from any hardcore rock crawling. 4 wheel drive will be needed and having good ground clearance would be advisable. Most of the trip could be done in a stock 4x4 vehicle. Depending on the Adventure Lite tour selected, camping or hotels will be the lodging of choice. So please make sure to read and understand what lodging is available for your tour.

The Basecamp model  used on a couple of our tours defined like this. When we basecamp, that means we are usually in a campground that has water, showers and electric available. We will stay in the same location for multiple nights and do day excursions from there. This takes away the point to point set up and tear down of camp each day. Allowing for you to experience the area while having some creature comforts when returning from a long day of exploring.  Most of the time we strive to avoid hotel styling lodging. Mostly camp sites or KOA's are utilized.

* There are a few trips where hotels and camping will be combined, depending on the location. This will be outlined in every trip description.
